What is Emu Oil and how its related to wrinkle cream ?

The most natural ingredient for anti wrinkle cream is made from something called "emu oil". This is the best triple-refined emu oil in the world. It turns out emu oil is probably the best cosmetic ingredient in the world. That's because its molecules are much smaller than the molecules in human skin.We use Emu oil in our night cream body lotion/body cream and most of our products in high pure

Highly Effective Benefits of Wheat Grass Juice. What is Wheat Grass Juice and How does Wheat Grass Juice work?

For the past 5 years I have been a huge proponent of wheat grass juice. Ever since I was striken with a very nasty bout of mono, I was turned on to the healing properties of wheat grass juice. My major ailment was fatigue and an inability to fight virus and heal quickly. I cannot speak highly enough of wheat grass juice in my daily diet.

I can literally see and feel a difference when I am not consistent in my intake of this nutrient rich megavitamin shot. My hair is healthier, I am more energized and balanced. Just how does wheat grass work and what makes wheat grass juice so special? As a grass, it is rich in cholorophyll and has the ability to concentrate nutrients from its soil.

The best type of wheat grass juice is that grown in very rich soils like mineral rich soils. Its properties are antibacterial and antiseptic in nature. Wheat grass juice can stop unfriendly bacteria from wreaking havoc on your system.

This powerful green super food has been known through the ages as a source of health and well being. Dr. Birscher, a research scientist, called chlorophyll "concentrated sun power." He said, "chlorophyll increases the function of the heart, affects the vascular system, the intestines, the uterus, and the lungs." In the American Journal of Surgery (1940), Benjamin Gruskin, M.D. recommends chlorophyll for its multitude of benefits. The article suggests the following clinical uses for chlorophyll: to clear up foul smelling odors, neutralize Strep infections, heal wounds, hasten skin grafting, cure chronic sinusitis, overcome chronic inner-ear inflammation and infection, reduce varicose veins and heal leg ulcers, eliminate impetigo and other scabby eruptions, heal rectal sores, successfully treat inflammation of the uterine cervix, get rid of parasitic vaginal infections, reduce typhoid fever, and cure advanced pyorrhea in many cases

Unlimited Benefits of Wheat Grass Juice:
Helps prevent tooth decay
Neutralizes carcinogens
Cleanses blood by removing toxins and harmful chemicals
Detoxes liver, cells, tissue and blood
Lowers high blood pressure Increases oxygen levels in the blood stream
Improved digestion
Creates balanced pH environment to prevent cancer
Increases energy
Provides healthier hair and reduces dandruff
Alleviates eczema and psoriasis
Improved ability of the body to heal wounds
Chlorophyll found in wheatgrass can prevent the growth of harmful bacteria.

It also contains anti-aging abilities and can keep the hair from greying.

Ailments Wheat Grass Juice helps fight:
Chronic fatigue

Natural Treatment for Pink Eye or Conjunctivitis of the Eye.

As luck would have it, a recent routine eye examine has yielded a case of pink eye. I had a sense that I might get this and one could say that I perhaps brought this on with my thoughts.

Either way, it is an inconvenient infection especially for contact wearers. As such, I'd like to share a great pink eye remedy that I've used that is working thus far: Chamomile tea!! It's amazing and it's probably in your tea/coffee cabinet.

The PINK EYE REMEDY:

Place a cool, moist chamomile tea bag on each closed eye for about 10 minutes. Repeat this every couple hours. Make sure your tea bag is only made of chamomile.

If you have bulk chamomile flowers, simply use a muslin tea bag.

Another way to treat the eye is to make the tea a little stonger, and then use an eye cup to hold the luke warm tea in each eye.

You can also just wash the eyes out with the tea, make a compress with a cloth, or even soak a cotton ball in the tea and wipe the eyes every so often.

I've done this religiously for the past day and I am seeing a significant improvement. I'm also choosing to ingest a few cups of chamomile each day as I figure to work this remedy from both the inside and outside.

Other pink eye remedies

* Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis). Infuse a teaspoon of the herb in a cup of hot water. Allow to cool, strain. Put the tea in an eye cup and use it in the recommended way.
* You can wash the eye using 1 cup of boiled and cooled water. Add 5 drops of Eyebright tincture. Use a cotton ball. Never use straight tincture in an eye.

5 Tips to Being Healthy on a Budget

With the holidays just around the corner budgeting every cent has become a necessity for many households.  My particular household has chosen to continue to eat healthy but with a little more work we are saving more money each time we hit the grocery stores.

Here are 5 easy ways to stay healthy on a budget without compromising good health or good food.

1.  Shop Local.

Shopping at local farmers markets and local coops for veggies and fruit will significantly reduce your cost.  You essential cut out the middleman and buy vitamin rich organic foods.   Similarly, many areas have local organic farms where you can purchase a 1/2 cow or chicken that are butchered and prepared on site.  If your freezer allows; this can save you well over several hundred dollars a year.

2. Purchase a netti pot.

A netti pot is a must have for every household.  Especially for those individuals who are prone to seasonal allergies or develop colds/flus each season.  The netti pot is a teapot-like device that serves to flush the nasal passages of any mucus, pollen or dust particles.  It also lubricates the nasal passages and with a saline flush will prevent germs from entering your body and keeps the nasal passages moist to prevent dryness and potential infection.  In the drier winter months the nose can take a hit with the transitions from cold air to heated inside air.  Netti pots in the morning and evening work well to prevent colds and flu.

3.  Eat brown rice.

Brown rice is one of the best grains and it is packed with vitamins, rich in fiber, protein and iron and is low in calories.  A 2 pound bag can yield rice, for a family of four, meals for at least 5 days.   Substitute standard pasta and potato based dishes with brown rice and experience a cost reduction.  Other benefits you may experience may be increased full feeling, weight loss and better digestive health.

4. Plan and Prepare your Meals.

So often we are used to last minute food runs to the local fast food joint down the street.  But, in the end a lot of money is spent on really unhealthy and non-fulfilling food.  With a little tweaking, some planning as well as some coupon clipping a lot of money can be reduced when shopping is based on a strategic meal plan.

When it comes to lunch and dinner, a large majority of families eat precooked-prepackaged meals or even meals ready to be prepared.  A little time goes a long way when cooking a prepared and well planned meal.

By cooking a larger dinner that can yield left overs; time and money are reduced as the excess may be pre-made lunches for you and/or your spouse or partner for the next day(s).

I always suggest preparing snack packs in the beginning of the week-- by chopping up apples, carrots and other fruits and veggies a wholesome and healthy snack can be taken with you to work or on the road.  Other great snack pack ideas are boiled eggs, mixed nuts and chocolate chips and peanut buttered crackers.

5.  Drink Green Tea.

Substituting green tea for coffee and soda is a great way to cut down costs of hitting your local starbucks or dunkin donuts as well as the local office vending machine.  By brewing up your own green tea you can serve it hot or cold and even flavor it with lemons or even pomegranate juice.  The green tea still affords those caffeine fanatics their daily dose while packing a good punch of flavonoids and antioxidants.  Green tea has been linked to cancer prevention and lowered risk of heart disease.

Budgeting and eating healthy can be synonymous and can benefit both your pocketbook and your health.

Survey: Americans Eating More Whole Grains, Vegetables, Fruits
By Miranda Hitti
WebMD Health News
Reviewed by Louise Chang, MD

Oct. 26, 2008 -- Whole grains are hot, trans fat is not, and more Americans say they're doing all they can to eat right, according to a new survey from the American Dietetic Association (ADA).

In the survey, 783 U.S. adults dish on their diet and exercise habits. Among the findings:

  • Consumption of whole grains, vegetables, and fruits is up.
  • Trans fat, beef, pork, and dairy consumption is down.
  • More Americans have a good attitude toward diet and exercise and say they're doing their best to eat healthfully.

Here's a closer look at those findings.

Food Trends

Here are the top five foods or nutrients that survey participants say they've increased during the past five years:

  • Whole grains: 56% say they're eating more
  • Vegetables: Half of participants say they're eating more vegetables
  • Fruits: 48% say they're eating more fruit
  • Low-fat foods: 48% say they're eating more low-fat foods
  • Omega-3 fatty acids: 38% say they've boosted their consumption

The upward trend in consumption of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables is good news, notes ADA spokeswoman Jeannie Gazzaniga-Moloo, PhD, RD, who presented the survey results today in Chicago at the ADA's annual meeting.

"It was encouraging to see those findings," Gazzaniga-Moloo tells WebMD.

Here are the top five foods or nutrients that participants report reducing during the past five years.

  • Trans fat: 56% say they've cut back on foods containing trans fat
  • Beef: 41% say they're eating less beef
  • Pork: 33% report eating less pork
  • Dairy: 23% say they've cut back
  • Low-sugar foods: 20% say they've cut back

Gazzaniga-Moloo says people may be cutting back on beef, pork, and dairy because of cost and the hunt for lower-fat foods. But she points out that "there are lower-fat alternatives within those three foods -- beef, pork, and dairy -- [and that] they do provide an excellent source of certain nutrients," such as calcium, protein, and vitamin D in dairy products, and protein, iron, and B vitamins in pork and dairy.

More People Eating Better

More people are improving their attitude toward diet and exercise and taking action for a healthier diet, according to the survey.

The ADA splits participants into three groups -- "I'm already doing it," "Don't bother me," and "I know I should" -- based on how they answer various survey questions about diet and exercise habits.

Here's how the groups ranked this year and in the ADA's 2002 survey:

  • I'm already doing it: 43% (up from 38% in 2002)
  • I know I should: 38% (up from 30% in 2002)
  • Don't bother me: 19% (down from 32% in 2002)

The shift out of the "don't bother me" category and into the "I'm already doing it" category shows that "consumers are certainly becoming more aware of the importance of balanced and healthy eating, [and] regular physical activity," says Gazzaniga-Moloo.

But there's still room for improvement. "What we would like to see is more of the 'I know I shoulds' moving into the 'I already am'" category, Gazzaniga-Moloo says.

Top Excuses for Not Eating Better

Why aren't people doing more to improve their diets? Here are the top five reasons from the survey:

  • 79% say they're satisfied with the way they eat.
  • 73% say they don't want to give up the foods they like.
  • 54% say it takes too much time to keep track of their diet.
  • 52% say they need more practical tips for healthy eating.
  • 41% say they don't know or understand diet and nutrition guidelines.

Mintel International conducted the survey, which has a margin of error of plus or minus 3%.

Samambaia - Latin American Rainforest Miracle Herb

(NaturalNews) -- The South American rainforest herb Samambaia can be used to treat a wide array of health disorders, from inflammation and psoriasis to coughs and kidney disorders.

Samambaia -- a medicinal fern that grows in Latin America's drier tropical forests -- has been used historically by Amazonian Indians such as the Boras and Witotos to treat fever, whooping cough and kidney disorders. Indigenous Hondurans have long used the plant as an all-natural treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and malignant tumors. Some Peruvian tribes have used the roots of the plant -- the rhizome -- for peptic uclers, diarrhea and pain in joints and tendons. Samambaia is used throughout the Amazon as a tonic for detoxification and immune support.

Even today, samambaia is used in herbal remedies in Brazil and Peruas a tonic, expectorant, sweat-promoter and blood cleanser. Supplements of the plant can treat a wide variety of skin problems, including boils, abscesses and ulcers. It also acts as a natural sunscreen to prevent sun-induced skin damage, which can lead to skin cancer and other skin problems.

The samambaia plant is high in alkaloids, lipids and flavonoids, and is a rich source of fatty acids. Toxicity studies have revealed no known toxicity for humans taking oral doses greater than 1000 mg. Studies of the plant in the 1970s and '80s revealed it to be an effective treatment for psoriasis, and a Spanish company produced a samambaia-based herbal drug to treat the skin condition that is sill prescribed today.

In more recent studies, samambaia has been shown effective at treating AIDS- and cancer-related wasting syndrome, as well as Alzheimer's disease and dementia. A 2004 human study by Harvard researchers found samambaia provided "substantial benefits of skin protection" to prevent sunburn and subsequent skin aging. The plant is currently being researched for possible roles in cancer treatment.

The LOVELY BANANA

Very Interesting....

A professor at CCNY for a physiological psych class told his class about bananas. He said the expression 'going bananas'
is from the effects of bananas on the brain. Read on:

Never put your banana in the refrigerator!!!

This is interesting.

After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fibre. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout.
No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.

But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit.

It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions,
making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana.
This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax,
improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anemia:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

Blood pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure.
So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain power:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast,
break and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation:
High in fibre, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey.
The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

Morning sickness:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin.
Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight
And at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips.
Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs.
The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high
carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness.
It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases.
It also neutralises over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control:
Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers.
In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD):
Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.

Smoking & tobacco use:
Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them,
help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalise the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance.
When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels.
These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.

Strokes:
According to research in The New England Journal of Medicine, eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!

Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.
It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.

So maybe it's time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A banana a day keeps the doctor away!'

PASS IT ON TO YOUR FRIENDS

PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time!!

Healthy Being LLC's newest product, Sunshine in a Box, a natural Seasonal Affective Disorder(SAD) relief product featured on CNN's Accent Health News

Get ready, naturally, for the fall time change and the onset of "winter depression" and Seasonal Affective Disorder. CNN's Accent Health News highlights a Natural Health Entrepreneur who, as a result of her own suffering from SAD when she lived in New England, created a Natural Seasonal Affective Disorder Relief Kit, Sunshine in a Box, that naturally address the chemical imbalances that caused by the time change and darker days of fall and winter.

In preparation for the time change and transition to shorter, drearier and darker days, CNN's Accent Health News Network will feature Healthy Being LLC and Sunshine in a Box in a December segment about Seasonal Affective Disorder. Accent Health is America's only healthy lifestyle television network specifically designed to serve physicians and their patients in medical waiting rooms.

Healthy Being LLC's President and Natural Health Entrepreneur, Melissa Gallagher was interviewed by CNN to share her personal experience as a Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) sufferer and also to highlight the reasons she created Healthy Being’s newest product, Sunshine in a Box, a natural Seasonal Affective Disorder relief product that addresses the root chemical imbalances that create SAD symptoms.

Melissa Gallagher’s interview with CNN Accent Health News features Sunshine in a Box and addresses the causes, symptoms and natural treatment options for individuals who suffer from mild, moderate and severe levels of Seasonal Affective Disorder. Nearly 1 in 5 Americans living in the Northern states suffer from either mild or moderate symptoms of winter depression, commonly known as Seasonal Affective Disorders. Similarly, 4 of 5 women who live in northern climates and suffer from Fibromyalgia also suffer varying levels of winter depression and can use Sunshine in a Box to combat often painful symptoms.

Sunshine in a Box provides individuals with a vitamin rich, well balanced, side affect free, natural remedy that reverses the way the body and mind reacts to shorter, light-less days. The bright and cheerful package consists of a 30 day supply of Sunshine in a Box and is available for $45.00.

Research suggests that a lack of adequate light impacts the body in a unique way. The body becomes deficient in Vitamin D and Serotonin levels reach their lowest point during December and January. Individuals living at latitudes above 40º north are more prone to these deficiencies. Along with a proper diet and full-spectrum sunlight therapy, a regime that includes Vitamin D and 5-HTP are helpful in treating SAD.

Sunshine in a Box is a simple and easy to use 30-day kit that contains three vital and power packed vitamins and supplements that are essential to the mental well being of those suffering from winter depression: Vitamin D3, 5-HTP and a liquid B Complex.

For the majority of Seasonal Affective Disorder sufferers simply supplementing a proper diet and light therapy with Sunshine in a Box will significantly reverse the physical lethargy and psychological affects of diminished exposure to sunshine.

It’s that time of the year—the days are getting a little shorter, the mornings are crisper and the leaves are in the midst of beautiful, colorful changes. The time change is just around the corner and as Northerners, this season is invigorating yet marks the passage to much colder and drearier, darker days. The ending of Daylight Savings time and the falling back of the clocks yield darker mornings, early evenings and more time indoors.

Native Northerners and Southern transplants suffer from varying forms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), commonly known as winter depression. Even the most energetic and upbeat individuals feel the impact of the seasonal change. The statistics are alarming and more than likely, if you are reading this you may experience symptoms that become noticeable at the onset of fall; feelings of mild depression, seasonal weight gain, listlessness, the inability to wake up in the morning, a decrease in libido and premature bone loss. One in five northern residents suffer from SAD. Even more difficult, one if four, Fibromyalgia sufferers experience SAD symptoms. Over 20 million Americans experience varying levels of winter depression and more than10% of these individuals live right here in the Northeast.

The root source of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a chemical imbalance in the brain, particularly within the hypothalamus. In the fall and winter months the brain produces more melatonin than serotonin and the production of Vitamin D slumps with the lack of exposure to the sun. Serotonin reaches its lowest levels in December and January. The Winter Equinox often marks the lowest period for SAD sufferers. Melatonin is the regulatory chemical that adjusts sleep patterns and in an abundant state induces melancholy feelings, an inability to get out of bed in the dark mornings and increases in carb cravings. The chemical imbalances that accompany shorter days instill a sense of foreboding, unease and mild depression that is hard to shake.

One of the greatest remedies for individuals who suffer from winter blues or SAD is the use of light therapy. Full Spectrum light lamps or “happy lamps” emit natural light similar to that from the sun minus the harmful UVA and UVB rays that are linked to skin cancer, advancing skin aging, skin spots and even potential damage to our eyes. I have a deep affinity to these “happy lamps” as I routinely use a full spectrum light box to help combat the affects of winter depression.

Often SAD sufferers find changes in diet, exercise and supplementation to be equally effective in combating SAD and minimizing its symptoms. A low fat, low carb diet that is rich in leafy greens and lean proteins is helpful. Supplementation with Vitamin D, a B Complex and 5-HTP are helpful. 5-HTP acts as a precursor to serotonin and will help balances the levels of serotonin and melatonin.

Darker, shorter days can now represent a consistent flow of happiness and contentment. With slight changes in diet, exercise, supplementation and the addition of light therapy equilibrium is around the corner.

AVOID re-using plastic bottles!

Did you ever drink from a plastic bottle and see a triangle symbol on the bottom with a number inside?

Do you know what the number stands for?
Did you guess that it's just for recycling?
Then you are WRONG !!!!!!
THE NUMBER TELLS YOU THE CHEMICAL MAKE UP OF THE PLASTIC.....

1) Polyethylene terephalate (PET)
2) High density polyethylene (HDPE)
3) Unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) or Plasticised polyvinyl chloride (PPVC)
4) Low density polyethylene LDPE
5) Polypropylene (PP)
6) Polystyrene (PS) or Expandable polystyrene (EPS)
7) Other, including nylon and acrylic

What you aren't told is that many of the plastics used are toxic and the chemicals used to create a plastic can leach out of the plastic and into the food / drink.
Think about it, how many times have you or a friend said "I don't like this, it taste like the plastic bottle ..... "
THAT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE TASTING THE PLASTIC
The WORST ONES are Nos: 3, 6, and 7 !!!
DO NOT USE THESE NUMBERS if stated at the bottom of the bottle) !!!

Check out this chart that breaks down the plastic, its uses and chemical makeup
(I find #7 a little scary)

Reusing plastic bottles by refilling them is NOT a good idea. WATCH THIS VIDEO:

Microwaving plastic containers affects the chemical make up of the plastic, allowing the chemical substances to destabilize and leach out more quickly into the food you
are reheating. You can check out this article that ran in the Wall Street Journal:

Fashion Foward Future

It is soft and starry. The natural look continues to be in Vogue with nude colored lips. Sheer formulas of red shades such as cherry, cranberry, and crimson colored lip tint will become

Regular Health Mistakes

All of us make little health mistakes that cause damage to our bodies in the long run - simply because we are unaware we are doing something wrong. Here are some of the most common mistakes made by many of us.

1) Crossing our legs
Do you cross your legs at your knees when sitting? Although we may believe that this is the lady-like elegant way to sit, sitting this way cuts down circulation to your legs. If you don"t want varicose veins to mar the beauty of your legs and compromise your health, uncross your legs every time you realise you have one knee on top of the other. The best way to sit is to simply place both legs together on the floor, balancing your weight equally. If you feel like changing position, instead of crossing your legs, simply move both legs together to one side. As an alternative, you could also consider crossing your legs loosely at the ankles. This is a classically elegant way to sit, and is far better for your legs and your health than sitting with your legs crossed at your knees.

2) Not changing our toothbrush
How often do you change your toothbrush? Most of us wait until most of the bristles have either fallen off, or are in such bad shape that we"d be embarrassed to pull out our brush in public. However, since not many of us need to pull out our brush in public, we carry on with our frayed one until we lose it. Replace your toothbrush often. Damaged bristles can harm the enamel, and don"t massage your gums well. If you find brushing your teeth a pain like I do, but know you must do it, you might as well be doing it right. Imagine going through the annoyance of brushing your teeth twice a day only to find out that you"re damaging your enamel every time you clean your teeth. Also, use a brush with soft bristles unless your dentist has advised otherwise.

3) Eating out often
There are oils that are high in cholesterol, and oils that cause little harm and are better for your heart. However, no matter how light the oil is, it is never a good idea to eat too much of it. Avoid fried foods.Remember that in all probability your favourite Indian food restaurant throws a huge, HUGE chunk of butter in a tiny bowl of dal. Rita, who worked in the kitchen of a 5 star hotel, was shocked when she saw the cook chop a 500gm butter slab in half, and throw half into a Paneer Makhani dish. No wonder the customers left licking their fingers. And no wonder they felt so stuffed and heavy afterwards. Limit outdoor eating unless you know that you"re getting served light and healthy food.

4) Skipping breakfast
Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning it"s been around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now, more than at any other time. Eat a heavy breakfast. You will then be busy through the day, and the calories will get expended quickly. If you are trying to diet, eat a light dinner. Here are some more common health mistakes we make. Being informed and making a few changes can help make us feel a whole lot better.

5) High heels
High heels sure look great, but they're murder for your back. This however doesn't mean you should steer clear of stilettos. Wear them, but not when you know you will be walking around a lot. Wear them when going out for lunch or dinner - when the only walking you will be doing is to your car, to the table, and back. Avoid high heels when you are going somewhere on foot. If you are constantly tempted to wear your heels, take a good look at your flats. Is there something about them you dislike? Invest in a new pair of beautiful flats or shoes with a low heel. Buy something you love, that you will enjoy wearing. If possible, get a matching bag. You will then enjoy your flats as much as you do your heels.

6) Sleeping on a soft bed
You don't have to sleep on the floor be kind to your back, but do make sure you have a firm mattress. Although a mattress on springs is soft and lovely to sink into, it's bad for your back. If you already have an old bed with springs, you don't need to invest in a new one - simply get a thick wooden plank put over the springs, and place the mattress on the plank. Similarly, if your mattress is old and lumpy, throw it out and get a new one. Your neck and your back will thank you. The same rule applies to sofas. If you will be spending hours on a sofa, get a firm yet comfortable one. Sofas you completely sink into are not the best idea.

7) Pillows
No matter how comfortable sleeping with ten cushions is, have pity on your neck and resist. Sleep with one pillow, and make sure it is not too thick. If your pillow gets lumpy, discard it and go for a new one. Get a thin pillow if you sleep on your stomach, and something a little thicker if you sleep on your back, to give your neck adequate support

8) Not exercising
So all of us know we should exercise more, but many of us don't. This is a health mistake we consciously make! And why is that? Simply because we refuse to admit the damage we are causing to our bodies by not working out. A number of people only start working out once they've experienced a warning signal. Don't wait for a heart attack to strike before you decide to opt for a lifestyle change. Make the change now. You don't need to train for the marathon to be in top shape. Half an hour of brisk walking three to four times a week will make a world of difference to your health. You could then increase this to forty minutes, four times a week - and you're all set. If you haven't exercised for a week, you're making a mistake.

Secret of Concealer

Concealer is the little white lie of the makeup world -- we all use it on occasion, and no one has to feel guilty about this kind of cover-up. But with all the types of concealer available, women often question how and when to use it.Concealers come in sticks, pots, cremes, and pencils. Any type will do. It's okay to use your fingertips to apply. Just make sure you dab or pat it on -- never wipe

The Key to Flawless Foundation

Types of Foundations Most of us keep our foundation as close as our ATM card. And just like crisp cash, we tend to "spend" too much of it. That's the most common problem women make -- putting foundation all over their face when that's very rarely needed. When you get the right shade, and you know how and where to use it, you'll find you need very little. But first which form do you choose? There
