Effects of Second Hand Smoke and Stroke

A recent study that was published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and a US study had said strokes are closely associated with second hand smoke. The study says non smokers married to smokers hold a greater chance of getting a stroke than others. Below is the statistical findings of the stroke-smoke association.

The study states if a non smoker is married to a smoker , then the chance of a stroke is increased by 42% compared to that of a non smoker married to a non smoker.
Similarly if a formal smoker is married to a current smoker, the chances of stroke elevates to 72%.Thus to all the smoker's around the world, "You are increasing the stroke risk of your spouse/husband by 42%. Quit Smoking!!! "
