Drinking adequate amounts of water a day is important for good health because water is involved in many and helps to improve body functions. These functions include digestion, absorption, circulation and excretion. There are other more specific benefits for drinking water as well.
Water helps the cleaning or removal of toxins from the body. If the body does not have enough water, then metabolic waste is not removed as efficiently as they should. In essence, the body would be to hold the toxins instead of expelling it is necessary for proper health. Much of the detoxification is performed in the kidneys. Therefore, the benefit of drinking water in this case is to allow the kidneys to do their job properly.
Another benefit of drinking water is to carry nutrients to the body's cells. In addition to helping nutrients enter the cells where they are needed, the benefit of drinking water in adequate quantities also helps keep cells hydrated so they can function properly and efficiently.
Drinking water is also beneficial for the muscles. Helps maintain proper muscle tone and prevent painful muscle cramps.
The prevention of kidney stones or at least reducing the risk of developing kidney stones is another benefit of drinking water in adequate quantities.
Drinking water helps to increase energy levels in people and helps lubricate the joints in the body.
There is a belief that one of the benefits of drinking water in large quantities is to curb your appetite and therefore can be an effective tool for weight loss. Unfortunately, there is strong evidence that water plays this role. Certainly, drinking water in large quantities will fill the stomach, but this is only temporary. Once the water there is the stomach, hunger returns, perhaps with more force.
Water benefit for skin
The benefit of drinking water in large amounts for proper skin health is a controversial area. Many believe and have stated that the water is very beneficial for skin care. The main benefit is given to drink lots of water keeps the skin moist and prevents dry skin. Claims are also made that the water gives the skin a radiant and healthy, younger looking skin without wrinkles, and allows the skin to maintain its elasticity and flexibility.
However, many experts are refuting the aforementioned benefits. Unless the person is severely dehydrated, drink lots of water will not prevent dry skin. Basically, the level of skin moisture is not determined by internal factors. In contrast, external factors such as skin cleansing, the environment, the number of sebaceous glands, and operation of oil-producing glands that determines how dry skin or goes. The water that is consumed domestically not reaches the epidermis. In fact, the water moves through the system of organs fairly quickly. If the skin is dry, the best solution is to treat the skin from the outside with a skin moisturizer suitable for dry or dry skin lotion. This forms an effective barrier against water loss from the skin.
Apparently there is a significant benefit of drinking water to cure or prevent dry skin. What spray or mist of water on the skin to help reduce dryness? This again is a treatment where there are significant differences of opinion. Some argue that the spray of water in the skin to help moisturize and help prevent dryness and aging of the skin. Others argue that the spray of water does not have significant moisturizing effect. The latter view seems to be the truth. It is best to prevent moisture from escaping the skin in the first place with appropriate moisturizers instead of constantly wet skin. However, it is important that the environment is not too dry. The moisture in the air to limit the amount of water escaping from your skin as opposed to a dry environment where water is more easily extracted from the skin.
Is there any real benefits of drinking water for skin health? In fact, despite the fight against dry skin is not a benefit of drinking water, there are some potential benefits.
As mentioned, the drinking water in adequate amounts is necessary to eliminate toxins from the body through the excretory system. With insufficient quantities of water flowing through the body, these toxins can accumulate in the body and escape through the pores of the skin. This contributes to acne. Therefore, by the washing of the body internally with water, outbreaks of acne are less likely to occur due to the release of toxins through the skin.
Another benefit of drinking water in large quantities in the skin to treat skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis. In addition, proper hydration will help eliminate dark circles and sunken eyes. skin fat is also sometimes stated as the provision of potable water.
Recommendations of drinking water
The benefit of drinking water for skin and body is determined by the amount of water consumed. Most of the recommendations in the literature suggest that eight glasses of water should be consumed per day to obtain the maximum benefit of drinking water. Some say the best benefit of water is produced when fresh distilled water is consumed compared with tap water. Tap water can be inconsistent in their composition and contain undesirable minerals and additives. Spring water is also questioned by many due to the possible presence of contaminants and pollutants. However, no agreement on this and opinions vary widely as to the choice of the appropriate type water. While the water is clean, then it is acceptable.
The suggestion to drink 8-8 ounces or 250 ml glasses of water a day (the so-called 8-8-rule) is interesting because it seems to have no scientific basis. It is a rule often cited, but difficult to track a medical or scientific study. In addition to the 8-8-rule, often include recommendations to prevent dehydration of foods and beverages such as coffee, tea, cola, other caffeinated beverages and alcohol.
However, many believe that 8 glasses of water is excessive and the same benefits of drinking water can be obtained with smaller amounts. Some experts suggest that for an average adult in good health, with healthy kidneys, and live in a temperate climate, only four glasses of water is required to obtain the benefits of drinking water and to replace daily losses of water.
The water must not be in the form of distilled water, bottled water or tap water. Water to hydrate your body can be obtained by eating water-rich fruits such as melons, vegetables and foods. It is believed that the water in the food stays in the body longer and is more likely to be absorbed, while the outputs of liquid water in the stomach quickly and is cleared quickly before adequate absorption is capable of producing. Beverages such as milk and juice also contribute to the total daily intake of water. Even drinks that are said to dehydration are useful according to research. Caffeinated beverages, which dehydrate the body, to some extent, but this is more than offset by the amount of water in the drink. A cup of coffee actually adds about two-thirds of a cup of liquid moisturizer. Therefore, have a cup of coffee will increase its total water consumption.
Alcoholic beverages when consumed as a result a net loss of body water. A drink you can not do too much of a difference, but many will make significant dehydration. If the consumption of alcohol, it is best to water and keep hydrated.
Given all the uncertainty about the benefits of drinking water and the amount of water should be consumed every day, there is no clear course of action. The best strategy is reasonable. Be aware of what your body is telling you. If lack of energy are in constant thirst, dark urine and are then this could be a sign that you are not getting enough water. Thirst is the body's way of signaling the need to increase water intake. So heed this warning. If you are running to the bathroom every hour, then maybe you're drinking too much. An average healthy person urinate 3 to 4 times per day. If this is the case, then the body is likely to be well hydrated.
In the exercise and the sweat is necessary to replace the lost water regularly to prevent the disease from dehydration and heat. The same is true when living in warm climates. In these situations, the benefit of clean water is obvious. Certain diseases also require extra hydration. The benefit of drinking water in quantities larger than normal also extends to pregnant women and infants, which are conditions in which the body requires more fluid intake.
For older people, drinking more water is a good idea, as dehydration is more likely to occur due to physiological changes in the body and the general lack of knowledge when to hydrate the body.
Drinking water for proper health of people is not universal. For some it can be really dangerous. For people who have trouble eliminating fluids (diabetics taking antidiuretic hormone), the excess water intake can not be eliminated and water intoxication may develop. Signs of water intoxication include mild headaches, confusion, coma, convulsions and death perhaps. Individuals taking this medicine should consult their doctor before increasing your water intake significantly.
Drinking excessive amounts of water can also lead to hyponatremia (too little sodium in the blood). The elderly, athletes like marathon runners, and people with congestive heart failure and liver cirrhosis are at increased risk of this rare condition.
In summary, for the average healthy person, there is a benefit of drinking water in large quantities. Most of the profits go to the proper functioning of organs like the kidneys and cellular health. It is also useful to expel toxins from the body, leading to overall good health. However, one of the benefits of drinking water that has exaggerated the effect on dry skin.
