Some Magnetic Devices May Cause Pacemaker Problems

A pacemaker is a small rooted device that helps steady an irregular heartbeat.

The U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute says, people with a pacemaker should avoid close and extended exposure to devices with strong magnetic fields.

These devices have the possible to interfere with a pacemaker's operation. The Below Examples are:
  • MP3 music players and cellular phones.
  • Home appliances, such as a microwave oven.
  • High-tension electrical wires.
  • Electrical generators or metal detectors.
